Test manager

The role

We're looking for a test manager who can take responsibility and accountability of test projects or multiple projects for typically a single client.

The successful candidate will define, deliver and manage a test project to a successful conclusion using Capita IT professional services Quality Standards aligned with each client. You will prepare detailed test plans and may prepare basic test strategies.

You will be responsible for managing project costs and utilisations. You will have responsibility for client relationship management and team management. You will assess the team’s dynamics to ensure optimum level performance so that the customer gets value for money. You will share business information with the team through chairing team meetings.

You will be confident in delivering presentations and managing substantial workshops. You will direct and manage a team of staff to achieve client goals as well as those of Capita. You will act as a point of contact for the client on all matters related to delivery and the team.

You will have line manager responsibility for consultants and supports the career development of those reporting to them.

Experience

  • Has the ability to develop a good relationship with the customer and supports business development opportunities.
  • At least 7-10 test management experience or minimum of 5 years as a test manager.

  • HP Quality Centre
  • JIRA
  • ISEB - ISEB Practitioner qualified
  • Prince II - Practitioner qualified
  • ITIL - Foundation qualified
